What is this?

We exist to help North West families and couples feel the therapeutic benefits of short breaks and holidays, who could otherwise not make it away. 

Our Breakers are either pulling themselves out of difficult times, are serving the public good at the expense of themselves or who dedicate their lives to full time care.

Most of us take it for granted that we’ll get away each year. Putting aside the financial aspect, we don’t even take into account how much this regular break enriches our lives and allows us to manage our own mental state.

Do I qualify?

You’ll qualify if you are one of: 

1- Pulling yourself out of difficult times
as demonstrated by:

  • Universal credit supplemented by work

  • Leaving prison in full time work for 12+ months 

  • Major illness recovery 

  • Bereavement recovery 

OR

2- Serving the public good
as demonstrated by:

  • Full time voluntary/charity work 

  • An extraordinary act of bravery

  • An extraordinary act of generosity

OR

3- Providing full time care, or recent bereavement of care recipient as demonstrated by:

  • Confirmation of full time carer status, including recent changes from full to part time to vice versa

  • Bereavement of care recipient 

Plus:

  • You can demonstrate that this holiday would not otherwise be possible

  • Demonstrate that no such break has happened in the previous 12 months
